Cookie Policy

1. What this covers

This policy explains what the Bibs website (bibs5aside.com) stores on your device. The phone apps do not use cookies. They keep you signed in using your phone's secure storage.

2. What we use

Only storage that is strictly necessary for something you ask us to do:

• Sign-in cookies (named sb-...-auth-token, from our provider Supabase): keep you signed in. They last until you sign out or your session expires.
• Guest RSVP (local storage): if you RSVP to a game without an account, your name, contact and a token for that game, so you can change your RSVP later. Clear it any time in your browser.
• Waiver acceptance (local storage): remembers that you accepted the game safety notice.
• Sign-in attempts (local storage): counts failed sign-ins on this browser to slow down password guessing.
• Security check (Cloudflare Turnstile, on some forms): checks you are a person, not a bot.

3. What we do not use

No advertising cookies, no tracking across other sites, and no third-party analytics. We count things like sign-ups on our own server without any cookie.

4. Why there is no cookie banner

Irish law (Regulation 5 of S.I. 336/2011) only requires consent for storage that is not strictly necessary for a service you have asked for. Everything above is strictly necessary, so there is nothing to accept or refuse. If we ever want to use other cookies, we will ask first and you will be able to say no as easily as yes.

5. Managing storage

You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. If you do, you will be signed out and the site will forget any guest RSVP details on that browser.
