Delete your account

You can delete your Bibs account at any time, for free. It is permanent: once it is gone it cannot be brought back. Bibs is run by Bibs 5aside Ireland Limited, registered in Ireland (company number 824670).

In the Bibs app

  1. Open Bibs and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Scroll down and tap Delete account.
  3. Tap Delete account again to confirm. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm too, so Bibs is also removed from your Apple ID.

On the website

  1. Sign in at bibs5aside.com with the same email, phone, Google or Apple account you use in the app.
  2. Go to Profile and tap Delete account at the bottom.
  3. Tap again to confirm.

If you signed in with Apple and delete on the website, you can also remove Bibs from your Apple ID: on an iPhone, Settings > your name > Sign-In & Security > Sign in with Apple.

Can't sign in?

Email info@bibs5aside.com from the email address on your account, or tell us the phone number you sign in with. We will check the account is yours and delete it within one month.

What is deleted straight away

  • Your account and sign-in details (email, phone number, and any Apple or Google link)
  • Your profile: name, @handle, avatar, positions, nationality, bio and home location
  • Your player card, stats, level-ups and badges
  • Ratings you gave and received, and your game awards, goals and votes
  • Messages you sent, and your posts, comments and likes
  • Your photos (avatar and post photos) from our file storage
  • Your RSVPs, friends, friend requests, club memberships, blocks and mutes
  • Venues you saved for yourself, tournaments you organised, your signed-in devices and notification tokens

What is kept, and for how long

  • Games, game series and clubs you organised stay for the other players, with your name removed.
  • Points you already gave other players stay in their card totals. Ratings are anonymous, so nothing links them to you.
  • Reports, including a copy of what was reported, are kept while the report is open and for 12 months after it is closed, so we can handle appeals and repeat problems.
  • Usage events and error reports lose the link to your account and are deleted after 12 months.
  • Backups: your data leaves our backups within 30 days.

Guest RSVPs made from a shared game link without an account are deleted automatically 30 days after the game. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
